Aims of Aikido
The aims are to train the mind and body through Aikido and to widely improve human society.
Features of Aikido
Aikido doesn’t have competition and is a unique Japanese Martial Art which train mind and body regardless of age or sex.
Addmission procedure (Enrollment)
Fill out the required information in the membership application form available at the front desk and submit it along with the admission fee to the secretariat. (Acceptable every day except holidays)

Membership card
All members receive a Membership Identification Card after completion of the admission procedure. This card should be presented at the front desk before practice, and picked up when leaving the dojo.

※ Members of Hombu Dojo should belong to one of the monthly courses. Participation through the visitor fee only is not
    possible (as posted on 31 October 2021).
※ After you have enrolled in Aikikai, fees need to be paid by direct debit. You need your bankbook and seal to set up the direct
    debit.
※ If you attend a class in addition to your monthly membership type, please pay ¥2,200 per day. Persons who wish to attend
    the Women’s Special Course should inquire at the front desk.
※ Please note that we do not give refunds on fees already paid. (Including 10% Tax from October 2019).
※ If you are a member of another dojo, and a member of the Aikikai, you can train at Hombu Dojo by paying a visitors
    fee of ¥2,200 yen (per day).
※Please bring your Aikikai Membership card or your AIKIKAI INTERNATIONAL YUDANSHA BOOK to show your Aikikai membership
    status.
※ Black belts will not be allowed in the beginners' class.

Grading Examination System

Notices will be posted for both the examination dates and the results.

・Kyu-level examination will be held every month except January and August.
・Dan-level examination will be held in March, May, July, October and December.

Please submit the application form along with the fee to the front desk by Thursday of the week of the examination day.
